What the service is

IMEI Desk provides free tools that validate device identifiers and identify device types from open TAC data. Results are informational. They are not a guarantee that a device is genuine, unlocked, not stolen or covered by warranty. The tools do not check any of those things.

Data accuracy

Device data comes from community sources and is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. It can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Do not rely on it as the only basis for a purchase or any other decision. Use the official services linked from this site for lost/stolen status.

Licences

The TAC dataset is available under CC BY-SA 3.0, with attribution to the Osmocom TAC Database and IMEI Desk. See data sources. The site’s text, design and code are not part of that licence.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the site to support IMEI changing, cloning, or any attempt to disguise a device’s identity. These are illegal in many countries.
• Don’t overload the site with automated requests. If you need the data in bulk, download the dataset instead.
